3D Laser Scanning

image1 2

scanning3D laser scanning uses LiDAR technology to capture survey grade points at a rate of 1 million points per second to create a 3D point cloud of the area being scanned. Each point collected has an x,y,z value associated with it (otherwise known as Northing(y), Easting(x), and Elevation(z)). This point cloud can be utilized by us or our clients through the use of various different software such as:

  • Leica Cyclone
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • Etc.
The benefits of this technology include:
  • Fast reality capture
  • Accuracy - eliminates errors that tape measures and other devices are subject to
  • Change orders in the construction process are significantly reduced or even eliminated with clash detection
  • Safety - allows measurements to be taken at a safe distance, minimizing or possibly eliminating shut-down times

We can deliver to our clients:
  • Point Clouds
  • Colorized Point Clouds
  • Volume Measurements/Clearance Measurements
  • 2D Drawings & Models
  • 3D Drawings & Models

Applications:
  • Civil/Topo
  • Oil & Gas
  • As-Built Documentation
  • Architecture
  • Historical Documentation
  • BIM
  • Power, Process & Plant
  • Etc.
